DULUTH, Minn. - Two power-play goals in the first period were all Minnesota-Duluth would need for a 2-0 WCHA victory over Wisconsin Friday night.
The Badger men controlled the action early with a flurry of shots, but couldn't find the net. The loss drops Wisconsin's record to 14-8-3, including 6-7-2 in conference play.
The game was the first WCHA contest in Duluth's new AMSOIL Arenda. Wisconsin was 0-for-3 on the power play. The two teams face off again tonight at 7 p.m. Wisconsin hasn't beaten the Bulldogs yet this season.
