DULUTH - Minnesota-Duluth tried to come back, but fell a goal short in Wisconsin's 3-2 win Saturday in front of a sold out AMSOIL arena.

The Badgers earned a split in the weekend series, leading all the way. Justin Schultz and Podge Turnbull scored in the first period, then Craig Smith made is 3-0 in the second. Wisconsin needed all those early goals, becuase the Bulldogs ralled for two scores in the final period. Minnesota-Duluth was dominant as it tried to rally. Wisconsin was held without a shot in the final frame. The Badgers had their seven-game winning streak snapped Friday, but bounced back to improve their record to 15-8-3, including 7-7-2 in the WCHA.
