Vikings add to coaching staff, Bevell hired by Seattle
Minnesota Sports-- The Minnesota Vikings have made multiple additions to their coaching staff.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Minnesota Vikings made multiple additions to their coaching staff.
Bill Musgrave will serve as the new offensive coordinator and Fred Pagac has been promoted to defensive coordinator. The new special team coordinator will be Mike Priefer and Mike Singletary will serve as assistant head coach to Leslie Frazier as well as coach linebackers.
Vikings announced earlier Thursday that the team picked Craig Johnson as quarterbacks coach and Jeff Davidson as offensive line coach.
Musgrave has spent the past five seasons in Atlanta as the quarterbacks coach. Pagac takes over as defensive coordinator after serving five seasons as the Vikings linebackers coach. Priefer spent the past two seasons as the Denver Broncos' special teams' coordinator and Singletary comes to Minnesota after six years with the San Francisco 49ers, including three seasons as the head coach.
Meanwhile their are reports former offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell has been hired by Seattle Seahawks. Bevell has been an assistant with the Packers and Vikings in the pros. He's a former All-Big Ten quarterback at the University of Wisconsin who led the Badgers to the Rose Bowl in 1994.
