Perry named to Twins Hall of Fame, Slowey signs new contract
Minnesota Sports-- Former Minnesota Twins pitcher Jim Perry will become the 23rd member of the Twins Hall of Fame after being elected on a vote of media members and club officials.
MINNEAPOLIS - Former Minnesota Twins pitcher Jim Perry will become the 23rd member of the Twins Hall of Fame after being elected on a vote of media members and club officials.
Perry played ten season with the Twins from 1963 through 1972. He was an all-star in 1970 and '71, winning the Cy Young Award in 1970. Perry won 128 games while with the Twins. He will be inducted with a pre-game ceremony on June 11th when the Twins host the Rangers.

The Minnesota Twins and pitcher Kevin Slowey have agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.7-million contract, avoiding arbitration. In 30 games for the Twins last season, the right-hander recorded a 13-and-6 record with a 4.45 ERA. Slowey has a 39-21 mark and 4.41 ERA over 86 career contests for Minnesota.
