PLUM CITY - Thirty percent shooting from the field wasn't going to get the job done for Plum City as they lost to Colfax at home Thursday, spoiling Alumni Band Night.

The Blue Devils made 14 of 46 (30.4 percent) field-goal attempts. Many of those misses came from behind the arc: Plum City finished 4-for-23 from 3-point range.

"We picked a bad night to turn cold," Blue Devils coach Paul Churchill said.

The score was tied at seven after one quarter, but Colfax pulled away by outscoring the home team 16-4 in the second quarter. Colfax went on a 10-0 run during the quarter.

"That's the difference of the game," Churchill said of the second stanza.

Chase Luebker and Lance Von Holtum each scored 10 points for the Blue Devils (8-5 overall, 6-3 conference).

Plum City has another home game Tuesday when it takes on Boyceville.
