U wrestlers still unbeaten in Big Ten duals with win over OSU
Minnesota Sports-- The No. 4 ranked University of Minnesota wrestling team stayed unbeaten in Big Ten dual meet action after beating Ohio State Saturday 31-9.
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The No. 4 ranked University of Minnesota wrestling team stayed unbeaten in Big Ten dual meet action after beating Ohio State Saturday 31-9.
The Golden Gophers won eight of 10 matches led by a pin by Tony Nelson at heavyweight in a time of 1:19 over Zach Stolarsky and by a technical fall from Mike Thorn at 141 over the Buckeyes' Randall Languis.
Also winning for the Gops' in St. John Arena were Kevin Steinhaus at 184, Zach Sanders at 125, David Thorn at 133, Danny Zilverberg at 149, Matt Mincey at 157 and Scott Glasser at 174.
Minnesota is now 14-3 overall and 4-0 in the Big Ten. They are at Michigan Friday and wrestle Penn State at home Sunday.
