PHS team first in pom, jazz at state

Prescott High School’s dance team continued their state title winning streak by placing first in both of their dances, pom and jazz (which is rare for any team to win both jazz and pom categories at state), at the Feb. 5 state dance competition in La Crosse.

Prescott High School’s dance team continued their state title winning streak by placing first in both of their dances, pom and jazz (which is rare for any team to win both jazz and pom categories at state), at the Feb. 5 state dance competition in La Crosse.

Prescott competed against approximately 15 other schools in their division and placed with very strong scores: 24 points ahead of second place in pom and 21 points ahead in jazz (Prescott’s strong score of 527 out of 600 points in the jazz category was the best out of any team competing in the state competition!).

Prescott also took home the titles in conference and regional competition. The Prescott Dance Team will hold a recital at Prescott High School on Sunday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
