Plum City boys win regional title, Spring Valley comes up short
Plum City High School's boys basketball team won its first regional championship since 2001 with a 34-32 win over Chippewa Falls McDonell.
Plum City High School's boys basketball team won its first regional championship since 2001 with a 34-32 win over Chippewa Falls McDonell Saturday.
Plum City won the WIAA Division 5 Mondovi Regional Tournament. The Blue Devils will play in the semifinals of the LaCrosse Central Sectional Tournament against Royall this Thursday in Neillsville. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
Spring Valley also played in the regional finals Saturday but their outcome was very different. Grantsburg beat the Cardinals 51-40 to finish the regular season 17-7. The Pirates won the WIAA Division 4 Amery Regional.
