(St. Paul, MN) -- John Madden snapped a 2-2 tie midway through the third period and the Minnesota Wild went on to beat the free-falling Colorado Avalanche, 5-2.
Jared Spurgeon and Kyle Brodziak added goals for Minnesota, which scored the game's final four goals to erase a 2-1 deficit. Martin Havlat and Andrew Brunette had the other tallies for the Wild. Kevin Porter and Paul Stastny scored for the Avs, who have dropped six consecutive games and 16 of their last 17 overall.
The Wild are in Nashville on Thursday to battle the Predators.
