Twins welcome back Morneau to practice
Minnesota Sports-- Twins first baseman Justin Morneau returned to the field on Tuesday afternoon for the first time since suffering a season-ending concussion last July.
(Fort Myers, FL) -- Twins first baseman Justin Morneau returned to the field on Tuesday afternoon for the first time since suffering a season-ending concussion last July.
Morneau played three innings of a Twins B-squad game against Pittsburgh in Fort Myers, Florida. Morneau says he didn't have any restrictions out on the field and feels good right now. He hit a bases-loaded double in his second at-bat.
Andrew Lambo had a two-run single as part of a three-run top of the ninth, lifting the Pirates to a 5-2 win over the Twins. Matthew Brown went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Luke Hughes drove in the other run for the Twins. Jeff Manship was tagged with the loss for yielding three runs on four hits in the ninth.
