MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks will try to win three straight when they host Sacramento tonight.
The Bucks are two games behind Indiana for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot with 13 regular season games left. Bucks’ guard Michael Redd was hoping to play in his first game in 14-and-a-half months tonight, but it won’t happen. Redd made it through his first full practice yesterday, but he says he won’t play until Friday night at New York – or Saturday night at home against Chicago.
Redd last played on January 10th of last year, when he tore both the ACL and MCL ligaments in his left knee for a second time against the Lakers in Los Angeles. It’s not certain how much Redd will play, at least while Milwaukee remains in the playoff hunt. Coach Scott Skiles says his decisions to use Redd will be based on the team’s ability to win each particular game. Still, the coach praised Redd’s determination with his recovery. He said Redd’s in great shape – and at this point, you can’t tell that he missed any time at all.
