Minnesota State advances to national semifinals in NCAA D-II tourney
Minnesota Sports-- Minnesota State-Mankato survived an overtime game against Alabama-Huntsville in yesterday's NCAA Division II men's basketball Elite Eight and will now play in the Final Four tonight in Springfield, Massachusetts.
(Springfield, MA) -- Minnesota State-Mankato survived an overtime game against Alabama-Huntsville in yesterday's NCAA Division II men's basketball Elite Eight and will now play in the Final Four tonight in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The Mavericks won the game 95-91 behind Marcus Hill's 26-point effort. Hill, a senior from Brooklyn Park, drained two free throws late in the overtime period to seal the victory for MSU. The Mavericks will now play Bellarmine University of Kentucky in one of tonight's national semifinal games at 5 p.m.
