Pierce County voters to make decisions at polls April 5

Pierce County voters will visit the polls Tuesday, April 5, to make spring election decisions.

Three school districts in the county—Elmwood, River Falls and Spring Valley--have contests for positions on their boards.

Two districts—Ellsworth and River Falls--are asking their residents to answer referendum questions. The latter’s referendum addresses facility upgrades, while the former’s is operational, seeking permission to exceed the state-imposed revenue limit by $1.3 million per year over each of the next three school years (2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14).

There are races for some board seats in the villages and towns, as well as for a post on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
