Pieces in place for new Vikings stadium
Minnesota News-- A Republican lawmaker who plans to sponsor a Vikings stadium bill says most pieces of the measure are in place. But, State Senator Julie Rosen says she hasn't settled on a day to introduce the bill nor would she discuss aspects of it ahead of time.
ST. PAUL - A Republican lawmaker who plans to sponsor a Vikings stadium bill says most pieces of the measure are in place. But, State Senator Julie Rosen says she hasn't settled on a day to introduce the bill nor would she discuss aspects of it ahead of time.
Stadium talk is increasing at the State Capitol and there is support from Governor Dayton, who says it could help the ailing construction sector.
To pay for it, Dayton says he would consider surcharges on stadium tickets, merchandise and concessions. He's also raised the idea of hotel and car rental charges.
