MINNEAPOLIS - The opening weekend of Big Ten baseball for the University of Minnesota has been slightly altered. The Golden Gophers host Purdue tomorrow and Saturday at Target Field.

Originally, Friday was set to be a doubleheader and Saturday was to be a single game. The agenda has reversed, however, because the weather forecast for Saturday is better than Friday, the teams have agreed to play the single game on Friday and the twinbill on Saturday. Play begins each day at 1 p.m. Tickets will be available at the Target Field box office on the day of the games only. Because of the Metrodome roof collapse, Minnesota has not played a home game yet this year. The Gophers are 7-and-8 so far this year.
