Minnesota News-- The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol will close both directions of the Stillwater Lift Bridge spanning the St. Croix River at 9 a.m. Friday, April 8, due to high water.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol will close both directions of the Stillwater Lift Bridge spanning the St. Croix River at 9 a.m. Friday, April 8, due to high water.
Officials will continue to monitor the river’s rise, and the bridge may close sooner than 9 a.m. April 8 if conditions warrant.
Until further notice the roadway will be closed between downtown Stillwater and Houlton
The suggested alternates are Highway 243 south at Osceola or Interstate 94 at Hudson.
