Raiders win season opener over Durand
The Elmwood High School softball team under new head coach Becky Baier, topped Durand Friday afternoon 5-3 at the fields at Arkansaw Elementary School.
ARKANSAW - The Elmwood High School softball team under new head coach Becky Baier, topped Durand Friday afternoon 5-3 at the fields at Arkansaw Elementary School.
Winning pitcher Kelsey Leach tossed a four-hitter with seven strikeouts. McKayla Brunner and Krista Peterson each had two hits and both drove in a combined three runs.
Durand drops to 0-2 overall.
Elmwood begins Dunn-St. Croix play on Tuesday.
