MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks will play their final home game of the season tonight, against the Toronto Raptors.

Both teams are heading to the NBA Draft Lottery. Milwaukee is 33-47, after a seven-point home win over Cleveland on Saturday night. The Raptors are 22-58 – and several of their top players have missed playing time with injuries, including Jose Calderson and Andrea Bargnani. Bucks’ center Andrew Bogut will have surgery tomorrow on the right elbow that’s plagued him since falling to the floor last April.

Drew Gooden has taken Bogut’s place – and he had first career triple-double against the Cavaliers with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists. It was the second triple-double by a Milwaukee player this season – the first time that’s happened since 1987 when Terry Cummings and Paul Pressey did it. Brandon Jennings had the Bucks’ other triple-double this season. It came last November against Charlotte, when Jennings had 20 points, 10 boards, and 10 assists.

The Milwaukee Admirals will host Texas on Thursday night in the first-round of the American Hockey League playoffs. The Admirals closed out their regular season yesterday with a 4-1 victory over Grand Rapids. Cory Conacher scored twice on power plays, as the Admirals finished with the most points in the Western Conference with 102. They had clinched the West Division title on Saturday night with a win at Peoria. The Admirals have scored seven power play goals in their last three games, including three yesterday. Coach Lane Lambert says Milwaukee will have to continue that type of scoring in the playoffs. The Admirals will have home contests on Thursday and Saturday before the best-of-seven series moves to Texas next week.

The UW-Green Bay softball team lost a double-header at Wright State yesterday. The Raiders took the opener 5-to-2, and the nightcap 8-1. Green Bay stranded 11 runners in each game. The Phoenix scored their two runs in the opener on a single by Kendra Woepse and a wild pitch. Paige Newtols drove home Green Bay’s only run in Game-Two with a single. The Phoenix dropped to 2-4 in Horizon League play, and 13-13 overall.

The University of Wisconsin women’s light-weight rowing team won three grand finals at the Knecht Cup in Camden, New Jersey. Wisconsin boats took both first-and-second in the lightweight-eight race. The second varsity eight and the frosh-novice eight also scored victories.
