EHS softball team stays perfect with win

Ellsworth High School's softball team improved to 2-0 overall and in the Middle Border Conference with a 7-0 win over Amery Tuesday.

AMERY - Ellsworth High School's softball team improved to 2-0 overall and in the Middle Border Conference with a 7-0 win over Amery Tuesday.

The Panthers' Halle Hatch struck out 10 batters and allowed just two hits in seven innings on the pitchers' mound.

"She pitched a great game and Becca Chollett, our catcher, called a pretty good game," Ellsworth head coach Ryan Casper said.

Ellsworth had seven hits in the game. The Panthers are at Somerset Tuesday. The Spartans lost 4-3 to Prescott, as the Cardinals are tied with EHS for first place in the MBC.
