Royals score six in the fourth to beat Twins
Minnesota Sports-- Kansas City's Mike Aviles went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored as the Royals used a six-run fourth to beat the Minnesota Twins 10-5 in the finale of a two-game series at Target Field yesterday.
MINNEAPOLIS - Kansas City's Mike Aviles went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored as the Royals used a six-run fourth to beat the Minnesota Twins 10-5 in the finale of a two-game series at Target Field yesterday.
Kyle Davies registered the win, despite giving up five runs on 10 hits over five frames. Delmon Young went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Denard Span finished 4-for-5 with two runs scored for the Twins, who have lost three of four. Francisco Liriano gave up seven runs on eight hits over five-plus innings of duty to fall to 0-3 on the season.
The Twins are at Tampa Bay tonight.

In other AL Central action, the Chicago White Sox lost at home to Oakland, 7-4 in 10 innings. Daric Barton hit a two-run single to cap the A’s 10th inning rally. Ex-Brewer Grant Balfour got the win in relief, as the Sox dropped 2-of-3 to Oakland. All those games went 10 innings.
