E-PC track teams win Durand Invitational

The Elmwood-Plum City boys and girl track and field teams braved poor weather conditions to both finish in first place Friday at the Durand Invitational.

DURAND - The Elmwood-Plum City boys and girl track and field teams braved poor weather conditions to both finish in first place Friday at the Durand Invitational.

Alex Gilles was named the track athlete of the meet. He took first in the 400-meter dash and was on the first-place winning 4x400 team. Lance Von Hwon the long jump and Tyler Churchill placed first in the 300 hurdles and the triple jump.

As for the girls, Marah Boyer was named the field athlete of the meet. She won the long jump and the triple jump. Freshman Sarah Gilles won the 100 and 300 hurdles and E-PC also won the 400 and 1600-meter relays.

E-PC takes part in the Clear Lake INvitational on Tuesday.
