(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota Wild have signed one of the stars of the national championship-winning Minnesota-Duluth Bulldog team.
Alberta native Justin Fontaine scored 22 goals in 42 games for the front-running Bulldogs and now has signed a two-year, entry-level deal with Minnesota. The five-foot-ten-inch, 175-pound forward ranked fourth in the nation in scoring and tied for second in power-play goals.
Fontaine says he attended a Wild camp last offseason and the club apparently had been keeping an eye on him.

Patrick O'Sullivan netted the game-winner as the Houston Aeros took a 2-1 victory over the Peoria Rivermen to complete the four-game sweep in the American Hockey League West Division semifinals. Drew Bagnall scored the other Aeros goal and Matt Hackett made recorded 23 saves in the win. The Aeros are the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and will take on the winner of the Stars-Admirals series in the next round.
