SV-PC gets first D-SC win, routing Mondovi
Spring Valley-Plum City notched their first Dunn-St. Croix softball win in smashing fashion, a 22-6 margin over Mondovi Thursday.
SPRING VALLEY - Spring Valley-Plum City notched their first Dunn-St. Croix softball win in smashing fashion, a 22-6 margin over Mondovi Thursday.
Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the second the Cardinals plated 14 runs and added seven more in the fourth inning.
Most of SV-PC's base runners advanced through walks and errors as the Cards had just eight hits in the game. Cora Hinrichs had two hits to lead SV-PC as did Alexandra Radle, who also had two RBIs. Riley Harrison also had two RBIs and scored three times and Megan Manor and winning pitcher Rachel Samdahl also scored three runs. Manor also had two RBIs as did Alex Larrieu.
The Cardinals improve to 2-3 overall and 1-3 in the D-SC. They face Elk Mound on Monday in Spring Valley.
