Minnesota Sports-- The Minnesota Vikings selected Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder with the 12th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
(New York, NY) -- The Minnesota Vikings selected Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder with the 12th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Ponder was the fourth quarterback taken in the draft and only the third quarterback the Vikings have ever drafted in the first round. The other two were Daunte Culpepper and Tommy Kramer.
In 2010, Ponder threw for a career high 20 scores with only eight picks in his ten games played. He finished his career ranked 24th in ACC history in passing yards and total offense.
