EAU CLAIRE - Ellsworth High School's boys' tennis team dropped another 7-0 dual meet, this one to Eau Claire Regis, Thursday.
Playing together for the first time, Adam Lee and Benji Mittermaier turned in a respectable performance at No. 1 doubles. They lost to Steve Hofacker and Shawn Seyer 6-2, 6-4.
"I think we've found our No. 1 doubles team that we're going to sit with," Ellsworth coach Casey Keller said. "I plan on keeping them together for the season."
The Panthers (0-3) won two or fewer games in five of the seven matches against a Regis program that reached the Division 2 state semifinals last year.
"I like where we're at at this point," Keller said. "The tough part of our schedule is at the beginning of the season. I think we have opportunities to win some meets the second half of the season now."
