Ellsworth knocked down Somerset 7-6 in 10 innings at Brown Field in Hager City while Prescott was edged by New Richmond 6-3 at New Richmond.
James Georgakas ripped the game-winning single in the 10th inning after Tyler Koller was moved to second base on a bunt from Travis Kroll,
"We kept falling behind, but we got clutch hits to get us back in the ballgame all night and that's something we've been missing all year," Ellsworth coach Steve Block said to the Red Wing Republican-Eagle.
Ellsworth offset seven errors by getting 11 hits
"We had some mistakes, we had some errors, but we seemed to battle through it," Block said.
Prescott meanwhile surrendered five runs in the bottom of the second and couldn't catch up to the Tigers, who now lead the MBC with a 7-2 record. Both Somerset and Prescott are 6-3 while Amery is 5-3 and Ellsworth 5-5.
Derrick Munsen led Prescott at the plate with two hits. He also hit a double and drove in two runs.
The Panthers (5-6 overall) travel to Baldwin-Woodville on Tuesday and are at New Richmond Thursday. Prescott (8-3 overall) hosts Osceola and Baldwin-Woodville Tuesday and Thursday respectively.
