Sunday State Sports's Briefs: Lambeau Field expansion could begin in February of 2012

Wisconsin Sports
-- Work on improvements to Lambeau Field could start next February in Green Bay.

GREEN BAY - Work on improvements to Lambeau Field could start next February in Green Bay.

The team thinks it can added 7,500 seats in the south end zone area. It was left open when the stadium went through a nearly-$300 million dollar makeover in 2003.

The Packers say there are several ways to pay for the work. The project would include a new facade and a new entry gate on the south side of the stadium.
