Sports camps for youth planned this summer

There will be a pair of camps for girls basketball offered by the Ellsworth High School this summer.

The first camp is for grades 5-8 taking place from June 14-17 from 1-4 p.m. The second camp is for girls going into grades 7-12. It will take place July 19-22 from 8-12 a.m.

EHS Volleyball Camp July 25-28

A volleyball camp at Ellsworth High School will be held July 25-28 for all girls going into grades 7-12 who are interested in playing volleyball during the 2011 season.

The clinic will be led by Coach Jennifer Brathol. Jen currently is the Adult, Boy’s and Impact Coordinator for North Country Region Volleyball. She has been involved with the sport of volleyball as a player, coach and administration for over 19 years.

There will be two sessions: 8-11 a.m. for girls in grades 10-12 and 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for girls in grades 7-9. Those going into 10-12th grade will be charge $55.00 each and those going into 7-9th grade will be charged $40.00 each. Checks can be made out to the EVBC and be mailed or sent to Ellsworth Middle School as soon as possible. For more information you can call (715) 273-4079.

Prescott: basketball camp

PRESCOTT – A basketball camp for students who have completed grades 3-11 will be held June 13-16 at Prescott High School.

The cost of the camp is $55 and the deadline for signing-up is May 6. There is an early bird discount of $45 before April 29.

This is a four-day camp for students in grades 5-11 while grades 3-4 will go from Monday through Wednesday. Please shall come dressed in basketball gear (shorts, shirt, socks, and gym/ basketball shoes). A free basketball (3rd- 6th Grade) and t-shirt (ALL CAMPERS) are given with attendance. There will be give-a-ways throughout the camp as well.

The purpose of this camp is to develop basic and individual basketball skills for both offense and defense. A variety of Prescott coaches and other quality coaches will be running the camp.

All liability for injury or any claim is forfeited by the participant against the Prescott School District or any personnel involved with this camp. Campers must have their own insurance.
