Spring Valley wins D-SC golf title
In just its first season of varsity boys' golf in over 20 years, Spring Valley High School won the Dunn-St. Croix title by winning the D-SC meet Tuesday at Whitetail Golf Course.
COLFAX - In just its first season of varsity boys' golf in over 20 years, Spring Valley High School won the Dunn-St. Croix title by winning the D-SC meet Tuesday at Whitetail Golf Course.
Spring Valley led in the team standings by just 5.5 points going into Tuesday's meet and performed well in the clutch, shooting a 346 in its first official 18-hole meet, nine strokes better than runner-up Glenwood City.
Thus, Valley secured its hold on first place and won the league title with 42 points.
Also securing first place was SV golfer Kyle Shafer. He won the meet medalist award by shooting a 76 which made him the top fgolfer in the league this season.
On Tuesday the Cardinals will compete in the WIAA Division 3 regional meet in Frederic.
