BLOOMER - The Ellsworth High School softball team lost a pair of game of close game at the Bloomer Invitational Saturday.

Allison Freier was one of the Panthers' top hitters on the day. Against Bloomer she cranked a home run and a double and scored three times. She also had two hits against Menomonie. Becca Chollett hit a double vs. Menomonie.

Ellsworth looks to get back to winning this week as they play a pair of Middle Border Conference make-up games at home vs. Amery Monday and at Osceola Tuesday. The Panthers' first round, regional contest vs. Amery is also at home Thursday.
