PRESCOTT – Natasha Most said the name of her new business, Barefoot Interiors, comes from a simple goal.
“What’s your kind of comfortable?” she asked. The business specializes in interior design, whether hospitality, commercial or residential.
Most got into the field thanks to a high school career survey that said interior design would best suit her talents. After her education, Most joined Interior Design Inc., out of Minneapolis. That enabled her to work on renovating hotels and casinos throughout the country.
“The places were horrible when I got there,” she said. “I would help make them pretty, and then I would have to leave.”
Among those were the Regal Sun Resort at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.; The Casino at Baywalk in St. Lucia; Point Arena Casino in Point Arena, Calif.; and the Emerald Queen Casino in Fife, Wash.. Regional projects included Oneida Casino in Green Bay, Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Onamia, Minn., and Gitchi Gaming in Prescott.
Work on those projects led Most to recognition by Milliken carpets as an up-and-coming designer, which led to a trip to Las Vegas’ HD (Hospitality Design) show.
“It was a great trip that I would love to do again,” she said. “The networking there was wonderful.”
Barefoot
Most, a 2000 graduate of Prescott High School, said Barefoot will provide furniture, fixtures and equipment procurement and project management support services for hospitality, commercial and residential industries along with delivery and installation.
“We are focused on assisting you with your purchasing needs no matter how large or small,” she said. “Our goal is to provide innovative design solutions that reflect each client’s vision.”
Barefoot will work with SA Johnson Construction out of Prescott on large additions, new models and construction projects. A showroom is being developed that will highlight the flooring, cabinet and countertops options.
Most lives in Prescott and is married to Gabe. The couple has a two-year-old named Leon and are expecting their second child in September.
Barefoot Interiors is currently open Mondays-Fridays 9 a.m. -3 p.m. and evenings and Saturdays by appointment at 720 St. Croix St. For additional information, call (715) 262-4332. Most said an open house is planned for June.
