Spring Valley, Elmwood will play in regional semifinals

Spring Valley and Elmwood's prep baseball teams will be in Tuesday's regional semifinals as they both won their first round games Friday.

Spring Valley and Elmwood's prep baseball teams will be in Tuesday's WIAA regional semifinals as they both won their first round games Friday.

Spring Valley won at home 13-3 over Colfax in Division 3 in six innings while Elmwood pounded New Auburn 15-1 in Division 4.

The Cardinals will play at the tourney's No. 1 seed, Elk Mound with a game time of 5 p.m. while Elmwood will be at historic Carson Park in Eau Claire to face No. 2 seed Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran. The first pitch in that game is at 3 p.m.
