COLUMBUS, Ohio. - There will be no return trip to the NCAA tournament for the University of Minnesota baseball team as the Golden Gophers were beaten 6-3 by Michigan State in the Big Ten Tournament Saturday afternoon.
The Gophers led 3-1 before the Spartans plated four runs in the sixth inning to take a lead they did not relinquish.
Minnesota finished the regular season 25-24 overall. State lost in the championship game to Illinois.
