University of Wisconsin men’s basketball sophomore Duje Dukan will play for Croatia in the Under-20 European tournament in Spain starting in mid-July. He was born in Croatia and has dual citizenship both there and in the U.S. The Croatian National Team invited Dukan to play last summer, but Badgers’ coach Bo Ryan talked him out of it. He ended up going to summer school and training with his new teammates. Ryan allowed Dukan to go this summer, when the team invited him again. Dukan played in eight games for Wisconsin last season – and he hopes his playing time in Croatia will help him with the Badgers this fall.
