Wild getting ready for NHL draft June24-25
Minnesota Sports-- The Minnesota Wild front office is preparing for this month's NHL Entry Draft, which the team is hosting on June 24-25.
ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Wild front office is preparing for this month's NHL Entry Draft, which the team is hosting on June 24-25.
Assistant general manager Brian Flahr says it is great to be hosting the event in Minnesota because this is a "hockey market" with thousands of young kids playing hockey who will enjoy watching the festivities. The Wild hold the 10th pick in the first round.

The Houston Aeros were beaten by the Binghamton Senators for the 2011 American Hockey League Calder Cup Championship. The Sens topped the Houston Aeros 3-2 in Game Six on a Ryan Keller score mid-way through the third period. Jon DiSalvatore and Jean-Michel Daoust each provided the Aeros with a goal in defeat. Matt Hackett made 24 saves in the setback. Houston is the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.
