Wimbledon, England -- Edina native Mardy Fish, the tenth-seed in the men's singles competition at the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, is the lone American still left in the Wimbledon field.

Fish upset sixth-seeded Tomas Berdych 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, 6-4 yesterday to advance to the quarterfinals, where he will face the defending tourney champion Rafael Nadal, who has won ten majors in his career.

It was a day of upsets yesterday, as the Williams sisters were both eliminated from the tourney. Serena and Venus Williams both lost fourth-round matches at Wimbledon Monday. Top women's seed Caroline Wozniacki was also beaten. There are no American women left in the event.
