River Falls gets 13-1 win over Hager City

HAGER CITY - The Hager City Skeeters remained winless in St. Croix Valley League play after losing 13-1 Wednesday to River Falls in a St. Croix Valley League game at Brown Field.
The Fighting Fish had 19 hits and if that wasn't enough to get men on base or move base runners they were also helped by five Skeeter errors.
River Falls plated 10 runs in the third innings to win in seven innings.
Elliott Foley had one of Hager City's three hits, which drove in HC's lone run scored by Taylor Johnson.
Nate Brom and Joe Paatalo led RF in hits with three each. Both Brian Giebel and Marty Herum hit RBI doubles for the Fish, who keep pace with Menomonie in the North Division. Giebel and Paatalo each had two RBIs while four players scored two runs apiece.
Winning pitcher Matt Walker struck out 10 batters in a three-hit performance.
