MINNEAPOLIS -- Danny Valencia singled home two runs in the bottom of the ninth as the Twins walked-off with a 2-1 win over the Indians last night at Target Field.
Glen Perkins got the win in relief after Francisco Liriano tossed six innings of one-run ball. The Twins stopped a two-game slide with the win. Asdrubal Cabrera drove in the lone run for the Tribe, who saw a two-game win streak end. Justin Masterson went seven-and-two-thirds innings of shutout ball, but it was Chris Perez who blew the save and took the loss.
Josh Tomlin and Nick Blackburn square off in today's installment, which begins at 12:10 p.m.
