PLUM CITY – John Pollock will be a busy man for the Plum City School District this upcoming year.

Pollock was approved by the school board July 18 as its new football coach, replacing Troy Ingli who resigned. It’s a return to the PC sidelines for Pollock who was an assistant coach while Pete Adler was at the helm a few years ago. He had also been an assistant coach at Durand as well.

Earlier this summer, Pollock was also named girls basketball coach. The Board named Dana Derricks as his assistant in the same meeting.

The final approval was given to appoint Nanette Murray as athletic director. Murray is also the varsity volleyball coach. She replaces Mark Luebker, who left to become Osceola’s Superintendent.

The Board also approved the hot lunch prices to remain the same for the upcoming year: Breakfast: Grades K-5, $1.35; 6-12, $1.60; Adult, $1.75; Lunch: Grades K-5 $1.90, 6-12, $2.10 and Adult $2.75. Season athletic prices also remained the same: Adult $60, Student $35 and Family $140.

High School Principal Paul Churchill then reminded the Board football practice starts Aug. 3 and volleyball begins Aug. 15.
