Bay City hosts National Night Out Aug. 2 in Saratoga Park

The Village of Bay City will be hosting its sixth annual National Night Out 6-8 p.m., Aug. 2 at Saratoga Park located on Lake Pepin.

The Village of Bay City will be hosting its sixth annual National Night Out 6-8 p.m., Aug. 2 at Saratoga Park located on Lake Pepin. Events scheduled include Pierce County Sheriff’s D.A.R.E. officer Steve Albarado, who will be bringing give-a-ways along with promoting safety in Bay City and surrounding communities and a crew from the Ellsworth Fire Department that will be bringing an antique fire truck for children to ride on. Nesbitt’s Nursery will also be donating seeds, compostable pots and soil for the children to plant and place in their own yards/gardens to help beautify Bay City. Nesbitt’s will also be providing hot dogs and Italian sodas for one dollar with the proceeds to go towards the Bay City Enhancement Group. In addition, Flat Pennies Ice Cream will be providing an obstacle course that people of all ages can participate in.

National Night Out is always the first Tuesday in August. Its mission is for communities to work together and make them a safer place.
