Four state drivers to take part in Brickyard 400

INDIANAPOLIS - Four Wisconsin NASCAR drivers are entered for Sunday’s Brickyard-400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Matt Kenseth of Cambridge is sixth in the season point standings. He’ll take part in tomorrow’s qualifying along with Paul Menard of Eau Claire, Travis Kvapil of Janesville, and Wausau native Scott Wimmer.

NASCAR’s two other circuits are at the Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. Johnny Sauter of Necedah will try to keep his points lead tonight in the Camping World Truck Series. He’s the only Wisconsin driver entered in the Triple-“A” Insurance-200. Sauter has 431 points to 413 for second-place Austin Dillon.

The Nationwide Series’ drivers will race tomorrow in the Kroger-200. Tim Schendel of Sparta is the state’s only driver on the entry list.
