MILWAUKEE - A long home run by Prince Fielder had people talking after Saturday's 6-2 Brewer win over Houston.

The 475-foot shot is the second-longest home run in Miller Park history. Fielder had three hits as the Brewers kept their Central Division lead at a game and a half.

Yovani Gallardo went seven innings, allowing one unearned run and four hits. He retired 15 of 16 batters at one point, winning his 12th game of the season. He's taken six straight decisions against the Astros. Corey Hart led off the game with his 14th home run.

The Brewers announced they've traded for utility-man Jerry Hairston Jr. to improve the bench while they deal with the loss of starting second baseman Rickie Weeks. Hairston comes from the Washington Nationals where he was hitting .268 with four home runs. The Brewers send Erik Komatsu to Washington from Double-A Huntsville.
