SAN ANTONIO -- Lindsey Whalen hit a fade away jumper with one-point-five seconds remaining to give the Lynx a 70-69 victory at San Antonio Sunday.
Whalen finished with a season-high 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. Seimone Augustus had 16 points and Taj McWilliams-Franklin added 15 as Minnesota improved to an WNBA-best 13-4 record. The Lynx trailed by 12 at the half before stepping up their defense in the third quarter.
Minnesota shoots for its seventh straight win Tuesday against Phoenix.
