Todd J. Westfield, 47, of Ellsworth, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the River Falls Area Hospital.

Todd J. Westfield, 47, of Ellsworth, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the River Falls Area Hospital.

Born the son of Gordon and Sandy (Kinneman) Westfield on Oct. 3, 1963, Todd lived his entire life in Ellsworth. Todd was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and later attended Bethel Covenant Church. Growing up, Todd was a member of 4-H and enjoyed playing 4-H softball.

Todd graduated Ellsworth High School in 1982 and married his best friend, Vicky Stockwell, on June 1, 1991. They just celebrated 20 years of marriage. Todd and Vicky had two sons, Chase and Cole, who were his pride and joy.

Todd was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Being the “pitman” and watching Chase and Cole motocross race was at the top of the list for favorite pastimes along with truck pulling, tractor pulls (flag man for many years), going to the races, hunting, fishing, cheering on the Packers, buying tools, going to auctions, garage sales, internet shopping, or anywhere he could get a great deal!! Todd loved teens and volunteered many years at Zion Covenant Church working with youth in areas of music, Sunday school, CHIC, and youth group.

After graduating high school, Todd farmed, attended Red Wing Vo-Tech taking agricultural classes, worked many years for the Tile Shop, served as an EMT for the Ellsworth Ambulance Service, and finished his working career as a jailer dispatcher at the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, graduating from the law enforcement academy in 2002.

Todd is survived by his wife, Vicky; sons, Chase and Cole; parents, Gordon and Sandy Westfield; brothers, Chad and Joel Westfield; and many extended family members.

Pallbearers were Jeff Esterby, Tom Gunderson, Doug Ducklow, Todd Stockwell, Bob Rhiel, and Bud Fritz.

Funeral service for Todd was Thursday, Aug. 4, at Zion Covenant Church, with his uncle Pastor Larry Westfield officiating. Burial was at Zion Covenant Cemetery.

Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.
