The Bulldogs received all but one first-place in the survey of 30 coaches. Delta State of Mississippi is ranked No. 2. UMD beat Delta State in last year's national title game. St. Cloud State enters the season ranked No. 13 in the poll.
Winona State, Concordia-St. Paul, and Minnesota State-Mankato all received votes, but did not make the Top 25.
