Jackson, who played his first five seasons in Minnesota, was 11-of-21 for 75 yards against his former team in the first half.
Donovan McNabb played two series for the Vikings and completed 6-of-8 passes for 81 yards. Christian Ponder threw for 63 yards on 6-of-12 passing and Joe Webb was 4-of-8 for 44 yards for Minnesota.
Charlie Whitehurst played the third quarter for the Seahawks and threw for 97 yards and a touchdown on 14-of-19 passing. He connected with Anthony McCoy on a three-yard score in the fourth that got Seattle within 13-7.
The Vikings, who got two second-quarter field goals from Ryan Longwell, capped the scoring on Tristan Davis' 35-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to make it 20-7.
Minnesota wide receiver Percy Harvin was held out because of sore ribs, while tight end Visanthe Shiancoe missed a second straight game due to a hamstring injury.
Jackson, who signed a two-year contract to replace Matt Hasselbeck in Seattle, hooked up with fellow former Viking Sidney Rice on two passes for 11 yards. Rice inked a five-year, $43 million deal to play for the Seahawks after playing his first four seasons in Minnesota.
