More fall prep sports get underway
Football and girls golf got underway last week. Now its time for the rest of county's fall sports team to begin play.

In girls tennis, Ellsworth opens its season Tuesday afternoon at Mondovi.
Volleyball starts Tuesday as well with Plum City playing in the Colfax quadrangular and Elmwood competing in Clear Lake's quad meet.
Prescott and Spring Valley volleyball play their first quad meets Thursday as the Cardinals of the Eau Galle are in River Falls and the Cardinals of the St. Croix will be in Hammond for a meet at St. Croix Central.
Ellsworth's season gets underway this weekend with SPRAWL Invitational at UW-Stout this Friday and Saturday. Spring Valley also has its invitational meet this Saturday beginnign at 9 a.m.
Elmwood has a triangular meet this Thursday as well with Pepin and Gilmanton. The meet starts at 5 p.m.
Cross Country also starts up this week. Ellsworth, Prescott and Spring Valley will compete in River Falls annual X-Treme meet while Elmwood will compete at the Boyceville Invitational.
