Ellsworth girls tennis loses first dual meet of season

The Ellsworth High School girls tennis team lost its first dual meet of the season under new head coach Dylan Greske Tuesday by 7-0 score to Mondovi.

MONDOVI - The Ellsworth High School girls tennis team lost its first dual meet of the season under new head coach Dylan Greske Tuesday by 7-0 score to Mondovi.

One of the matches did go into three sets with the Panthers' No. 1 singles player Bethany Olson falling to the Buffaloes' Sarah Boley 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and the No. 2 doubles team of Alea Wilbur and Katie Kurrelmeyer played a tie-breaker with Mondovi's Annah Gruber and Chelsey Christ, losing 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). Ellsworth's No. 2 singles player, Jordyn Olson, won five games in her match.

Ellsworth plays at Lake City on Monday.
