Old Cowbelle: Poetry by Judy Ann

Another poem book to enjoy. It is a creation by Judy Ann Walz from Milwaukee, who grew up in this area, also the author of “Quick Fixes to Change Your Life: Making Healthy Choices.”

Judy Ann’s poetry is fantastic! Reading them, it is obvious that she has a lot of education under her belt. (Unlike my simple “earth verses.”) I love her book. She expresses so eloquently so many of my own thoughts, urging the reader to really see and explore all of the beauty available in the world around us.

With her permission, I include one of her poems:

MAY I BE YOUR HANDS AND FEET

I have been given so many gifts:

Strength, courage, and tenderness,

Insight, sensitivity, and generosity.

I only pray that I can manifest,

Through my words and deeds

All the grace, abundance and will

That God has given me.

May I bridge heaven and earth

By being God’s hands and feet.

Judy Ann and her sister, Nancy Johnson, visited with me over coffee at my dining room table recently, and besides her impressive writing, she is a warm and funny person. As is her sister Nancy, who was in my daughter Sonia’s high school class in Ellsworth.

I felt honored to have my very own private “book signing” by Judy Ann that day.

Judy Ann is a community educator on holistic health and a certified psychotherapist. She uses her 33 years of clinical experiences in nursing, counseling and education to each wellness and self-responsibility. She has a Master’s Degree in Nursing and has done graduate work in Psychology, and has a clinical practice in Reflexology, Reiki and acupressure in addition to her psychotherapy practice.

Judy Ann offers corporate workplace wellness programs and I hope she has one here in this area, while I am still able to attend. She can be contacted at 262-251-1090.
