EHS doubles teams win at Unity
Ellsworth's three doubles teams were all winners in a Middle Border Conference prep girls' tennis meet against Unity/Luck Tuesday.
BALSAM LAKE - Ellsworth's three doubles teams were all winners in a Middle Border Conference prep girls' tennis meet against Unity/Luck Tuesday.
While the Eagles won the dual meet it was by a close 4-3 margin, the closest for Ellsworth this season.
Winning at No. 1 doubles for EHS were the team of Jordon and Bethany Olson 6-3, 6-0 over the Eagles' Emily Petzel and Tess Anderson; At No. 2 doubles the Panthers duo of Alea Wilbur and Caitlin Turner were winners 6-1, 6-1 over Leslie Peterson and Kayla Bramsen and at No. 3 doubles the team of Rochelle Sweig and Megan Stress won 6-2, 6-1 over Unity-Luck's Beth Johnson and Emily Ferguson.
Ellsworth's next dual meet is at Baldwin-Woodville Thursday.
